Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't my Health activity have a map?

Because 369 does not read Apple Health routes. From Health it brings the sport, duration, distance, calories and heart rate, but not the route: it neither requests nor queries it. A trace only exists for activities you record in 369. If you want the map, record the activity with the "record" button.

How do I connect or disconnect Apple Health?

To connect: go to Settings › health › Apple Health › connect. iOS shows you what 369 wants to read and write, and you choose. When you connect, 369 brings in the workouts from the last 30 days.

If you don't see your workouts: on the iPhone, open Health › your profile › Apps › 369 and check that "Workouts" is turned on. Steps are not workouts: 369 shows them to you on Home, but does not turn them into activities. For a walk to arrive as an activity, start a workout on your Apple Watch or in another app, or record it in 369.

To disconnect: go to Settings › health › Apple Health › disconnect. You can choose "disconnect and delete what was imported": this deletes from 369 the activities that came from Health and that you did not post. The ones you posted stay. Nothing is deleted in Health.

What comes from Health is visible only to you until you post it.

Why does it ask for location "always"?

So the recording keeps going when you lock the phone or open another app, for example your music. It is only used while you record. When you finish the recording, 369 stops following your location.

If you don't give it "always", you can still record. You change the permission in iPhone Settings › 369 › Location.

What is the privacy zone?

It trims the start and end of the trace you post, so it doesn't show where you start and finish, which is often your home. On new accounts it is off; accounts created with an earlier version of the app (up to 1.0.8) keep their setting, which is 200 m unless you changed it.

To change it: Settings › privacy › privacy zone. You can choose the radius or turn it off. If you turn it off, the whole trace is published, from the exact point where you started.

The trim applies to what you post. Metrics such as distance and pace are calculated from the full route.

With the zone on, a short activity can be posted without a map: if the whole route falls near the start or the end, no trace is left to post.

What do people see if my account is private? And what is the audience?

Private account: your posts are seen only by the followers you approve. People who already followed you stay, and new ones have to ask. Your profile card (username, name, photo, bio, bib number, sport and city if you show it) is still visible to anyone with an account. You change it in profile › edit profile › who sees your profile.

Audience: each activity has its own: "anyone" or "my followers". Nobody else sees it until you post it.

  • The starting audience, for what you record and for what comes from Health, is set in Settings › privacy › new activities.
  • You can change each activity later, in its detail.
  • To stop showing one you already posted, use "delete the post" in its detail: it goes with its comments and reactions.

Note: if someone copies the link to one of your images or videos and shares it, it can be opened without signing in, even if your account is private. If you delete the post, the link stops working.

How do I report or block someone?

  • A profile: on their profile, ⋯ menu › report or block.
  • A post: in its menu › report.
  • A comment: tap report on the comment.

The person does not know who reported them or that you blocked them. We review reports within 24 hours. What happens next is in the Community Guidelines.

Your blocked accounts are in Settings › profile › blocked accounts.

How do I get a copy of my data?

Write to hola@369app.lat from your account's email and tell us what you need: a copy of everything, or something specific. We send you your data in a JSON file within 20 business days. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: profile › settings (the gear) › account › delete my account. Your activities, posts, followers and profile are deleted. It cannot be undone.

If you cannot get in, write to hola@369app.lat. What is deleted, what stays and the timing are in Delete your account.
